Developing Sustainable Energy Investment (SEI) metrics, benchmarks, and assessment tools for the financial sector

The project aims to address the lack of investment in sustainable energy and energy-efficient assets from public and private financial institutions. It will define what a sustainable asset and a sustainable investment portfolio are and develop an assessment framework in order to allow financial institution to measure their performance and set progress targets against energy climate goals. The objectives include developing a comprehensive assessment framework, developing a turnkey toolbox for investors and fostering dialogue on sustainable energy investment between investors and policy-makers.
