Katharina Trachmann joined the Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance as a Project Coordinator in July 2016. She holds a Master of Science in Policy Studies from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economics and Business Administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Her academic research primarily focused on renewable energy and climate policies in both developed and developing countries, whilst Ms. Trachmann also acquired substantial regional expertise in Latin America. She studied in Ecuador and subsequently conducted research on national social and economic policy change.
Prior to joining the Centre, Ms. Trachmann completed an internship at the South America division at the GIZ headquarter in Eschborn. She also gained work experience in the insurance industry at Allianz SE in Munich, supporting the annual sustainability reporting process and the corporate communications department.
