Wednesday, January 24, 2018 - 15:30 to 17:00

Unprecedented means of collaborating and new ways to anticipate disasters will be critical to reducing the risks arising from climate change.

  • But what will it take to deliver the results we need?
  • Are we ready to step outside our comfort zones and work together in new ways?
  • Are there innovate and successful new partnerships operating now, that we can scale up?

This session, held during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, will focus on the creation of new ideas for combining the capabilities of corporate and humanitarian actors to meet rising climate risks.

Featured speakers include:

Silvie Kreibiehl, Co-Head FS-UNEP Centre

Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, Under Secretary General for Partnerships, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies

Dr. Pablo Suarez, Associate Director for Research and Innovation of the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre
